March trip to Sheridan,s lake - The Tackle Company popped over for a short trip Sunday - Thursday.
The drive is around 2 hours 20 mins from Calais so very easy.
The lake is situated in a lovely town not far from Siossons.
Within 10 mins there are supermarkets and takeaways so everything is close by.
LAKE REVIEW
The lake itself is a square shape and around 5 acres in size I would say max of 4 anglers but maybe better with 3.
The lake is weed free and at this time of year a few branches etc but no snags.
Before we arrived we thought would be tight to margins left or right side but to be fair caught 80% of the carp in the middle.
We only cast - so was tricky to be right tight to the bank but caught a rod length off so happy on the few fish on the sides of the lake.
A boat is available ( life jackets provided) so you can go out and drop rigs if you wish or just use bait boats.
The owner Adrian was very nice and helpful if need be.
To be fair it was easy to just watch the water and if the fish showed you know where they was - just basic watercraft.
FACILITIES REVIEW
The facilities are ample with a small lodge with gas hob, fridge and freezer with table and chairs.
They have a shower and toilet also at the lodge so everything you need without expecting luxury accommodation it’s an added bonus to a lovely lake set
